If you will care to take note, Ms. Torres legs look magnificent in every frame of every video clip ( ditto for every other bodypart on the lovely Ms. Torres, don't you agree? ). Look at Those Legs indeed. That beats over muscled or undermuscled female legs any day of the week don't you think? That is the type of "leg look" that is worth striving for, and that can last for a lifetime "if" one knows how to train correctly in order to attain legs that look fantastic from every angle at any age.
Also note that Zulmara and Abel do not detract from their routines by adding "trick moves" just for the sake of showing off a lot of ultra-difficult moves that are awkward to pull off, dangerous to pull off, and look more suited to a gymnastics meet. Every move in their routines flows naturally, and they are difficult as well. Those turns are especially awesome. And, Abel is solid as a rock in his every supportive move and "connect / disconnect." What a remarkable dancing duo. Simply flawless!

You might be asking why I would put a retired ( from active international dance competition ) Dance Diva on this "DANCE DIVAS OF 2009" webpage. Well, the answer is simply that Melissa is one of the finest of a "LATL Dance Diva that I have ever seen over the past two decades, both in terms of supreme dance skills and in terms of having a pair of the most beautiful legs ever to grace the competitive ballroom dance floor around the globe "back in the day." I first saw her in PBS televised Ballroom Latin Dance competitions in the 90's whe she teamed up with the legendary Rick Valenzuela to give jawdropping performances that nailed down several titles against world class competition. She eventually moved to Italy and married her "ultimate" ballroom ( and life ) partner, the immensely talented Giacomo Staccaglia. The two now live and teach in Italy. Melissa remains a LOOK AT THOSE LEGS Dance Diva for the ages. She has the total package as a woman, a dance diva, as a dance instructor, and as a married woman.

Melissa Dexter began dancing at the age of 4. She trained in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Ballroom and Latin Dance. She has been three times United States Latin American Champion. Melissa has currently been finalist at the following competitions: the Worlds, European, International and Blackpool; ranking her as one of the top six dancers in the world.
During the last few years Melissa has worked as choreographer and/or dancer on television and movies such as "Dance with Me".
Presently Melissa and Giacomo are retired from DanceSport competition since 2002.
